Who Are We?
Sakshi: An Apologetics Network in India (SAN) is a network of Christians committed to obey the Great Commission given by Lord Jesus Christ through the apologetics as described and prescribed in the Holy Bible.
SAN serves as a platform for those committed to exploring and testifying to the truth encountered in various arenas of life. We believe that all truth ultimately leads us to God - The Infinite and Loving Creator and Sustainer of the universe. At SAN we hold that this truth is revealed to us uniquely in the person of the one human being who claimed to be The Truth - Jesus Christ.
We hold that some views are true and some views are false. With those who have views that conflict with ours, we are willing to listen and learn. We are willing to discuss dialogue and debate with anyone who will be open to a free and fair interaction. There is much that we don’t know. We believe however, that what we do know is sufficient to enable human beings to find the meaning and purpose for our lives. SAN is committed to making truth known.
We Believe
We believe that the Holy Bible, the 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament, is the God-breathed and infallible, the sole and final written word of God to all humanity. The Holy Bible is trustworthy and inerrant in all that it affirms in its original autographs and is the final authority for life and conduct.
We believe that the only true God is One, eternally existent in and as three Persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit in time and outside of time, from age to age at all times, before and after the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the new heavens and the new earth and forever.
We believe in the physical incarnation of the Divine Son in and as the Lord Jesus Christ on earth, fully God and fully human, born through the virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit, and led a sinless life in perfect holiness, performed great and mighty miracles, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered and shed blood and died a sacrificial, vicarious, propitiatory and atoning death on the cross of Calvary, was bodily resurrected on the third day, ascended to heaven as witnessed by His apostles to the right hand of God the Father, will return in power and glory as the Judge of the living and the dead and His Kingdom will never end.
We believe that all human beings, created good in the image of God, both male and female, are sinners at birth as a result of the sin committed by the first parents Adam and Eve and later by their own choice, and thus fallen from the glory with which they were created and are subject to the justice of God and objects of His wrath.
We believe that salvation from sin and eternal life with God is a gift received by faith in Jesus Christ alone which is made efficacious for each individual by his/her own repentance of sins.
We believe in the work of God the Holy Spirit as the only giver of spiritual life who leads a person to the repentance of sins and confession of the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the life of each person who has thus repented and confessed to enable them to lead a life in obedience to God for his glory.
We believe in the physical and natural unity of all human kind as equal and created by God and later separated from him due to disobedience to him. We also believe in the spiritual unity of all those who are saved by the Lord Jesus Christ and are members of his spiritual body and members of one spiritual family.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and judgment of all human beings by God; they that are not saved by Christ to be sentenced to eternal separation from God and they that are saved by Christ to eternal life with God forever and ever for His glory.
The Three-fold Vision of SAN and Its Mission:
1) Apologetics as Evangelism:
(a) Evangelism through reasoning, discussions, debates, open forums and dialogs in public places, religious institutions, academic settings, houses and at all the open avenues be it a palace or a prison through various media. (Acts 9:22, 9:29, Acts 17:2, 18:4, 18:19, 18:24, 18:28, 19: 8-10, 28:30).
(b) Evangelism by addressing the intellectual needs/issues of a society/community so that strongholds, arguments, and every lofty thoughts might be removed to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to its recipients (2 Corinthians 10:5).
2) Training Christians to Do Apologetics as Evangelism in Their Own Local Context Using Locally Relevant Means (Ephesians 4:12):
• Training so that they might be prepared to give a ready defense for everyone who asks a reason for the hope that they have in Christ (1 Peter 3:15).
• Encouraging Christians to do intensive research so that they might be fair-minded and think about whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy (Acts 17:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:21, Philippians 4:8).
•Train Christians in the practice of Spiritual Disciplines so that they may able to see the spiritual battle behind the intellectual reasoning.
3) Networking and Partnering
(a) To partner with other Christians, Churches and Christian organizations both in conducting evangelistic and training programs.
(b) To provide expertise and experience of Sakshi to build local apologetics groups who may prefer to be known by the Sakshi name or any other name and network with them in organizing both evangelistic and training programs.
(c) To work people of all persuasions in so far as it furthers the vision and mission of SAN without compromising the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
(d) To serve as a reliable resource base for all those interested through our nation-wide research team.

• Love: Commitment to the other’s well being as evidence in the example of Christ and as commanded by the Scriptures
Our Distinctiveness
1) Addressing Issues that Are Locally Important and Relevant to Gospel of Jesus Christ: For example, in the past, SAN has been answering criticisms of Indian Islamic Dawaah’s against the Gospel of Jesus Christ, objections of Hinduvatta Movements against exclusivity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ etc. We have addressed these issues both in English and other vernacular languages. From time to time, we have also presented rebuttals to charges against the Gospel that have appeared in the Indian media.
2) Intensive Research and Authentic Materials: Most of our work has been well-researched and appreciated even by the critics of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to do original research and cross-check the materials for authenticity. We also encourage our own members to check materials produced by us and are always open to correction, if any error is pointed out.
3) Networking: Most of our programs have been conducted in partnership with other Christian organizations. We try to actively reach out to Christian ministries, big or small, in partnering to conduct evangelistic and training programs. We look forward to passing on the results of our ministry to other likeminded and focused organizations and not seek to replicate them.
4) Inspiring and supporting and serving other communities with a similar mission.
5) Training up local articulators, spokespersons and verbal and spiritual defenders of the faith in Jesus Christ in every part of the country and beyond.
(6) Promote various forms of Christian Apologetics (Classical, Evidential, Presuppositional etc) and leave it to the end user to work out their own apologetic response in consultation with the body of Christ and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
7. Seek to work towards training followers of Christ to speak in a meaningful manner to audiences in the media, arts, politics, academia etc on through public platforms.8. Being on the cutting edges of popular and other discourses.
9. Corporate decision making process led by those who actually do the work of ministry.

They will be on fundamental matters and will have a practical bent without meandering on to the non-essentials or that which is trivial. They will be explorative, illustrative and persuasive in nature and will not be derogatory in tone. However, if the issues are such that it shows a community or an individual in a negative light, it will be treated respectfully and if necessary, sympathetically without watering down the truth.
