Seven States of India have already passed anti-conversion laws against conversions from ‘indigenous faith’ to other religions (primarily Christianity) and not vice-versa under the misnomer ‘Religious Freedom Act’. Two of the Supreme Court verdicts deny the right to conversion as a fundamental right. G Bibu, respectfully disagrees with the Supreme Court verdicts in his L.L.M thesis. He also argues that anti-conversion laws in the State legislatures are not just unconstitutional but anti-constitutional.
