After the ban order on 28th and 29th January debate on the Quran at Chennai between Sakshi Apologetics Network and Tamil Nadu Tawhid Jamaat by the Chennai police commissioner, SAN agreed for a private debate at TNTJ premises at their suggestion, as long as it complied with the police order. Since live telecast (web or other means) defies the police order both in letter and spirit, SAN requested TNTJ not to go ahead with web live telecast. When TNTJ insisted on live telecast, SAN proposed two solutions: (i) either have a private debate without live telecast or (ii) have a public debate with live telecast with police permission. Ignoring both these proposals, TNTJ conducted a program at their head office alleging that SAN ran away from the debates. When the Christians want to abide by the law of this land, why does the TNTJ Muslims want to violate the law of this land? Is this how they teach their community?

TNTJ conducts program at their head office and pretends that is in the public place. However, Sakshi had even agreed to go to their place to have a private debate but insisted on not having the live telecast, which was one of the reasons for the ban order of Sakshi TNTJ debate Yesterday, there was ban order on the debate by City Commissioner on the debate.
If TNTJ was so interested in the debate, why would they want to insist on the live telecast. If TNTJ was so interested in the debate, why they did not go to police commissioners office as they always boast about having great influence among the government. Is it not true that TNTJ is playing is this cheap trick after having a humiliating defeat on the topic of the Holy Bible. We are ready for: (a) for a private debate without live telecast: or (b) for a public debate with live telecast but with police permission. October 27, 2007: Sakshi: An Apologetics Network in India had a dialog with the Islamic Academy of Comparative Religions (IACR) on the topic ‘The Concept of Sin and Salvation in Christianity and Islam’ at Rukumeni Rivera, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Sakshi was represented by Mr. Jerry Thomas and IACR was represented by Mr. Asifuddin Muhammad. Initially both the speakers presented their case followed by two rounds of rebuttals.
